Stella Ijai Limasaya, an influential force in the fashion industry, is more than just a Fashionprenuer; she’s a creator, impactor, enlightener, and a proud recipient of the “Forces In Fashion Design Award” in 2023 from Stir360 Magazine. This accolade is a testament to her remarkable contributions to the world of fashion.
Born and raised in the heart of Adamawa state in mid 80’s, to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Oderawa, Stella’s educational journey began at Sardauna Primary/Nursery School in 1996. Her quest for knowledge led her to Gov’t Senior Science Secondary School Uba, where she obtained her SSCE in 2003. Undeterred, Stella pursued higher education, earning a degree in Zoology from the prestigious Adamawa State University in 2008.
Her foray into the fashion world began in earnest in 2011 after completing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). As a seasoned professional, Stella constantly enhances her skills, having attended renowned fashion academies such as Kathy Anthony Fashion Academy in Abuja (2019) and Precious Apparel Fashion Academy (2021/2022).
To share her wealth of knowledge with aspiring fashion designers, Stella founded Zimcy Fashion Academy in 2020, overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic. The academy has since graduated over 80 students, empowering them to start their own fashion businesses and become self-reliant. In 2021, 30 students received training under the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) through a partnership with rural resilience feed the future, an international NGO (Mercy Corp). This collaboration resulted in cash top-up prizes for some academy students.
Stella’s commitment extends beyond her business ventures. She consistently promotes talent from Northeast Nigeria to the world through her diverse and innovative designs. Her impact on the local fashion scene has been profound, showcasing the rich creativity of the region.

In 2013, Stella entered a new chapter in her life by marrying Pharm. Ijai Limasaya. Blessed with two wonderful kids, her journey as a wife and mother adds another dimension to her inspiring story. Stella Ijai Limasaya stands not only as a successful Fashionprenuer but also as an advocate for education, empowerment, and the promotion of talent in the northeast region of Nigeria.
