Miss Juliet’s passion for beauty transformed not only in her own life, but also the lives of others around her. She is a renowned beauty queen & community supporter, and in this exclusive interview, she shared her journey with us.
How did your journey into pageantry Started?
It all began in the year 2015/2016 when I contested for MISS NORTH EAST Nigeria and won.
You emerged as the first Miss Northeast, what does that mean to you?
Winning this pageant has opened a new chapter of life, reviving the different aspects of both the glamour industry and social services.
Firstly I fulfilled my purpose of serving people especially the less privileged, I was able to be the voice of other youths out there that looked up to me as their role model and it was the starting point for me to realize I have a role to play in my society and to live an exemplary life for the upcoming Queens to follow as the first Crowned Queen- Miss North East Nigeria
You spoke about helping the less privileged, what are the structures you put in place during your reign to actualize this?
I set a long term goal to drive my ambition forward like raising a certain amount of money for charity and distributed food and clothing to IDPs (internally displaced persons) and orphanage homes, etc.
Let’s talk about the Beauty Pageant industry in the northeast generally, what is your take on that?
Seriously we don’t have a good pageantry platform in the northeast. Our leaders and even parent look at pageantry as harmful or even look at it to be prostitution and they will always say we can’t let our children participate in sexual things like contesting or promote an ideal of female beauty to which only a minority of women can realistically aspire, but which adds to the pressure on all women to conform to it. We need to unite and create a platform to educate parents on what pageantry is, most Northeast pageant organizers have a problem of letting their Queens work with other Queens too. if we don’t learn to live together irrespective of tribe and religion we will remain in one place
You were crowned as the first miss northeast Nigeria in 2015, and since then you have won other crowns. Looking at your journey in the beauty pageant industry, what are the other crowns you have won?
I was crowned Miss North East Nigeria 2015/2016 and I was crowned Miss green and white ambassador Nigeria 2017 and now Miss United Nigeria Tourism 2020/2021.
Let’s talk about your current crown, Miss Tourism Nigeria 2020/2021 what should we expect from the office of Miss Tourism Nigeria?
My number one pet project is “Fight against hunger and poverty” in my society first then the country at large. I’m going to use my office to create empowerment for young adults and reach out to the less privilege. I will create a platform to educate young adult on drugs abuse, rape, etc.
Most girls want to have a crown on their head this days without following due process, what will your advice to them be as someone who’s ahead in the Pageant business?
It’s not just a “Beauty” Pageant. Sure, you get to wear gorgeous gowns and crown but that’s not the main thing pageants are about. Set Yourself Apart – Use an Excellent Pageant Coach. Walking in heels, striking a pose. For the most part too, pageants are about becoming your best self, helping others in the community and especially those who need to be lifted. A true queen should be humble. If you’ve considered participating in a pageant, I will advise then that you should read books about pageantry and have knowledge of it before becoming a Queen.
Coming down to your hometown Adamawa State, can you boldly say the Pageant industry is performing as expected?
Not as expected at all.
As queen with nationally crown with lots of experience how can we make it better?
Just like I said earlier, working together matters. A lot of Adamawa people are not united but though a change can start with just one person but first we have to accept that things are not right before we can be able to make it right.
Do you have other aspiring queens under your mentorship?
Yea, sure.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Church.
What Career path would you have chosen if you were not into pageantry?
I would have chosen to be a runway model.
Your life is centered around nothing but beauty pageantry and we know how difficult it is to break grounds in such industry without support from either sponsors or family, how do you keep your career moving because one may wonder if you are working elsewhere to promote your career?
I have got my family’s full support and my work to support me, I have also got someone that sponsor’s me.
How are you handling the covid19 challenges as someone in the entertainment industry?
Queen Juliet: Limiting my contact, washing hands and disinfecting surfaces around me. I have always worn a mask and advice people around me to do the same.
And your Hobbies are?
Making new friends, praying and reading.

White, black and royal purple.
Your male celebrity crush?
Omah Lay.

How do you spend your leisure time?
Exercise, read and spend time with my friends or family.
Who do you look up to in the pageant industry like your role model?
Paulina Vega (miss universe 2014).
What Next should we expect from Miss United Nigeria Tourism?
I would use my title to increase awareness of volunteers to help those who are less privileged, the homeless and the poor. Also inspire our politicians to pass meaningful legislation that would improve the lives of every Nigerian. I would use my title to share compassion, and kindness in the world. I would suggest that all wars are unnecessary and that we should attempt to negotiate instead of utilizing wars to solve problems and spread the message of peace, cooperation and harmony of all living things.
I would inspire many girls out there that if I can do it then they can too and to also be a role model to the younger generation and to use that platform to start up an initiative for what I am passionate about and that is protecting the children especially the girl child in both mentally, physically and emotionally.
