Currently serving as the Counter Wildlife Trafficking Advisor at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), Dr. Bello leads efforts to combat wildlife trafficking in Nigeria and the wider West African region.

Dr. Bello holds a Ph.D. in International Relations, specializing in Counter-Terrorism and Deradicalization, from PAL University. His doctoral research focused on exploring the intricate connections between wildlife, ethno-religious conflicts, and terrorism in Africa. With a Master’s degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy Studies, Dr. Bello possesses a comprehensive academic foundation to address multifaceted security challenges.

Professional Experience:

Prior to his role at WCS, Dr. Bello amassed over four years of experience as a Security Risk Manager at Idmibok International and other prominent organizations. In this capacity, he spearheaded the development and implementation of robust security strategies for the development and humanitarian community. His expertise in security intelligence and risk management has been instrumental in safeguarding personnel, assets, and operations in complex environments.

Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy:

Beyond his contributions to wildlife conservation and security, Dr. Bello is a visionary entrepreneur and humanitarian. He is the founder of Bincike International, an organization dedicated to promoting Development and Humanitarian and Micro Enterprises. Additionally, he established Belean Humanitarian Initiatives, focusing on community development and empowerment initiatives in marginalized areas.

Dr. Bello’s commitment to security extends to the private sector, as evidenced by his founding of BCJ Security and Guards Company Limited, providing comprehensive security solutions to businesses and individuals. Furthermore, he has ventured into environmental stewardship with BCJ Waste Management and Recycling Company Limited, contributing to sustainable waste management practices.
