Dr. Aminu Aliyu

Dr. Aminu Aliyu was born in Maiduguri, Borno State. In 1998 he completed his primary education at Loral Nursery and Primary School in Festac Town, Lagos. Then gained admission into the University of Maiduguri. After earning his bachelor’s degree Medicine and Surgery at UniMaid, he proceeded with postgraduate programmes at Bayero University, Kano and University of Sheffield, UK where he bagged Masters degrees in Health Economics and Public Health, respectively.

The promising billant and smart young Dr Aminu graduated primary at age of 7, secondary at age of 13 and graduated with  Medicine and surgery at age of 20, Dr. Aliyu is a certified medical doctor and public health expert. His work experience started with Maitama District Hospital, as a Medical House Officer, then the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Abuja. Currently, he is the program lead on medicals with Medicaid Cancer Foundation  and supervisory manager of Medicaid Radio-diagnostics and Clinics as well as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on Primary Healthcare,

As the youngest appointees of the executive governor, Dr. Aminu Aliyu is down to earth, vibrant and a goal-getter, possesses good leadership qualities and a proclivity of service to humanity. These attributes endear people to him. No wonder he has become a household name among young and old in Adamawa state. For the young people, he is a model and a mentor. Among older generation, he is called “Dá Mai Albarka” (a blessed child). This blessed child has distinguished himself by his selfless services in contributing to improving quality healthcare in Adamawa. He has received accolades from within and without the state, including the prestigious Nigeria Public Sector Leadership and productivity Award. Dr. Aminu Aliyu is happily married with two children.
