HUMANITARIAN AWARD
Mrs Sarah Wafari was born to the family of Baba Nathan Umar and Mama Alpha Nathan in February of 1974, a mother of 4, she has been married to pharmacist Wafari Theman for the past 21 years, she was born at Kwakwa’ah in Hong Local government area of Adamawa state.
She obtained her first School Leaving Certificate from Kwakwa’ah Primary School in 1986, her Senior Secondary School Certificate was in the year 1992 from Government Girls Secondary School, Yola. A National diploma in Urban and Regional Planning in 1999 from Kaduna Polytechnic, and a Higher National Diploma, Urban and Regional Planning in 2003 from the same institution.
In 2014, Sarah Wafari attended the Nigerian Women Strategy Conference on “Building bridges of Opportunity”.
A training on Women leadership and Gender Management in 2011 and in may of 2008 she attended a training on Advocacy and Effective Communication.
Her experiences and skills were developed over time as reponsibilities confered on her were executed with precision, courage and commitment to excellence.
Mrs Sarah was a project officer at Sapphire pharma-consults ltd. with responsibilities cutting across project design, execution and supervision.
She was also a techinical officer at Abuja Municipal area council with specific responsibilities in town planning site work.
She also worked with Federal Housing Authority Homes Limited as a student with immerse yourself in cinematic bliss responsibilities in planning site work.
Mrs wafari’s work experience was also horned at the Kaduna state development and property company limited as Accountant/ Mortgage service, she was responsible for land allocations and site management.
She was honoured with a letter of recommendation from Abuja Municipal Area Council as a Youth Corp Member.
J.C Best International School honoured Mrs. Wafari as outstanding parent in 2017, to further underscore her virtuos nature as a mother and wife.
Mrs. Sarah Wafari is kilba by tribe, she loves reading and is social, she has a very strong ability to work in a cross-cultural and mixed gender groups which is a virtue desperately needed in our societies in Adamawa State to build bridges and unite the people. she has a great capacity to lead.
